Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of Tarjuman’s website and certified translation services. Please read them before you upload a document or place an order.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

By visiting, registering on, or using the Tarjuman website and related applications (the “Platform”), including requesting an instant quote, uploading documents, placing an order, or creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, and that you agree to be bound by them.

These Terms form a binding contract between you and Tarjuman (“Tarjuman”, “we”, “us”, “our”). If you use the Platform on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company, and “you” includes that company.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time. The version displayed when you use the Platform applies to that visit. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Our services

Tarjuman provides certified translation services through a digital workflow: you upload a document, receive an instant quote in AED, choose a service type and optional add-ons, and check out. We translate and certify documents for official use, including immigration, legal, academic, and corporate files, in a wide range of language pairs with Arabic and English as a core pair.

Depending on availability, the Platform may also offer:

  • Attestation add-ons, which we facilitate through third-party partners or authorities
  • Courier delivery of physical documents to an address you provide
  • Enterprise plans with page or word quotas, invoicing, and account management

Quotes are estimates based on the files and options you select. The price payable is the amount shown at checkout, including applicable VAT. We may refuse, pause, or cancel an order where the file is unreadable, unlawful, outside our scope, or where payment is not completed.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract under UAE law. You agree that the information you provide is true, accurate, current, and complete, and that you will keep it updated.

You are responsible for your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@tarjuman.ae if you suspect unauthorised use. You may not share login credentials, impersonate another person, or create multiple accounts to abuse pricing, promotions, or plans.

Enterprise accounts may be used only by people authorised by the company. The company is responsible for its users’ compliance with these Terms.

4. Quotes, pricing, and VAT

Instant quotes are generated from the documents you upload and the languages, document type, service type, and add-ons you select. Page or word counts may be detected automatically. You should review the quote before checkout. If a file is scanned, unclear, or unusually formatted, the count or price may be adjusted after a human review; we will contact you before charging a higher amount.

Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED). VAT is added at checkout where required. Enterprise plan pricing, quotas, and unused capacity are as described on the Pricing pages and in your plan confirmation.

5. Placing an order

An order is placed when you complete checkout and payment is authorised (or, for eligible enterprise quota orders, when the order is confirmed against your plan). We will send a confirmation to the email on the order.

You are responsible for uploading the correct source file, selecting the correct language pair, and telling us any names, stamps, or layout requirements that affect official acceptance. Turnaround times shown on the Platform are estimates and may change if the file needs clarification, if an authority is delayed, or if events outside our control occur.

6. Your documents and warranties

By uploading a file you warrant that:

  • You own it or have the right to send it to us for translation, certification, attestation, or courier
  • The file is not forged, and providing it does not violate UAE law, sanctions, or a third party’s rights
  • Personal data in the file (including data about other people) may be processed as described in our Privacy Policy
  • You have not uploaded malware or content intended to harm the Platform

We may decline files that appear unlawful, that we cannot certify, or that pose a security risk. Original documents remain yours. We process copies only to perform the services.

7. Certified translations

Certified translations are prepared by vetted linguists for official use. We take care with names, dates, seals, and layout so the output is suitable for submission to authorities, universities, banks, and similar bodies. Acceptance still depends on the receiving authority’s own rules, which can change and which we do not control.

You must check the certified file on delivery and tell us promptly of any error in names, dates, numbers, or missing stamps. If the error is ours, we will correct it at no extra charge. We are not responsible for rejection caused by an incomplete source file, a wrong language pair you selected, or an authority requirement you did not tell us about before checkout.

8. Attestation and courier

Attestation and courier are optional add-ons. Attestation may involve MOFAIC or other authorities and third-party processors. Processing times and fees charged by those bodies are outside Tarjuman’s full control. Courier times depend on the carrier and the address you provide.

You must give an accurate delivery address and ensure someone can receive the shipment. Risk in a physical delivery passes according to the courier’s terms once the item is handed to the carrier, except where UAE consumer law says otherwise.

9. Payment

Payment is due at checkout unless an enterprise plan covers the order under its quota. We use Stripe or another approved provider to collect card payments. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method.

If payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back without a valid reason, we may suspend the order and your account until the amount is settled. Invoices with TRN details are issued only if you request a tax invoice and provide complete company information.

10. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel an order before work has started, in which case we will refund the amount paid for that order to the original payment method, minus any non-refundable third-party fees already incurred (for example, a paid attestation submission).

Once translation, certification, attestation, or courier has started, fees for work already performed are not refundable, except where UAE consumer protection law requires otherwise, or where we are in material default. Refund timing depends on the payment provider and your bank.

Enterprise plan fees are governed by the plan you purchase. Unused quota does not automatically convert to cash unless we say so in writing.

11. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or to translate documents you know to be fraudulent
  • Interfere with other users, probe or attack our systems, or upload viruses or harmful code
  • Copy, scrape, or republish Platform content, pricing, or linguist work except as needed for your own order
  • Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited marketing
  • Attempt to bypass payment, quotas, or security controls

We may suspend or terminate access, without prejudice to other rights, if you breach this section.

12. Confidentiality

We treat uploaded documents as confidential and use them only to quote, translate, certify, attest, deliver, invoice, and support the order, and as described in the Privacy Policy. Linguists and processors who see your files are bound by confidentiality obligations.

13. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, software, trademarks, and content we create (other than your source files), is owned by Tarjuman or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Platform to obtain the services.

You retain ownership of your source documents. You grant Tarjuman a licence to copy, store, and process those files and to produce the translation as needed to perform the order. The certified translation is delivered for your use, including submission to authorities. You may not resell our Platform or present our work as your own translation business.

14. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided with reasonable care and skill. We do not warrant that quotes, turnaround times, or third-party attestation will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a particular authority will accept a file.

To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Tarjuman is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost opportunity, or loss arising from an authority’s delay or refusal, except where caused by our fraud or wilful misconduct. Our total liability for a claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a rule applies, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Tarjuman against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, from documents you uploaded without the right to do so, or from your unlawful use of the Platform, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful default.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. You may ask us to close your account by contacting support@tarjuman.ae. We may suspend or close an account, or refuse an order, if you breach these Terms, if payment fails, if we must do so by law, or if we reasonably believe the Platform or other users are at risk.

Sections that by their nature should survive (including confidentiality, IP, liability, indemnity, and governing law) remain in force after termination. We may retain records as required by law and the Privacy Policy.

17. Privacy

Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform you acknowledge that policy. The Privacy Policy does not replace these Terms; both apply.

18. Changes to the Platform and these Terms

We may change the Platform, prices, service types, or these Terms. Price changes do not affect orders already paid unless we have to correct an obvious error and you agree. For material changes to the Terms we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify account holders.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek urgent relief in any court of competent jurisdiction, and consumers keep any non-waivable rights to bring a claim in another competent UAE forum.

Please contact support@tarjuman.ae first so we can try to resolve a dispute. Nothing in this section limits your right to lodge a complaint with a competent UAE consumer or data-protection authority.
